As the festive periods hit, many people start neglecting their workout routines when the opposite should apply. Now is the time to hit the gym even harder than before. To help you keep up the festive spirit, we’ve put a little twist on some well-known exercises just in time for the spooky season…

Vampire Wake Up Call

Lie on your back with your arms extended above and over your head and your legs straight. You can choose to go full-vampire by crossing your arms over your chest instead. Using your core, lift your upper body off the mat into a seated position. Once perpendicular, reverse the motion and repeat for desired number of reps.

Spider Crawl

Beginning in a starting position, place your hands flat on the ground and bend your knees. Crawl forwards using the hands without moving the feet until you reach a plank position. Keep the core engaged then reverse the movement for the desired number of reps.

Werewolf Attack

Start with the feet hip width apart and the toes set at a slight angle. Bend the knees into a sumo wrestler squat position and have the fingertips touching the ground. Engage the core and jump up, extending the arms as you rise. Immediately lower down back to the squat position and repeat for desired number of reps.
