With Fitness Training Solutions, the Level 3 Personal Trainer Course will provide you with the tools and knowledge to become a successful personal trainer and confirming occupational competence to future employers. Once you have completed this level 3 personal trainer course, you will have the qualifications and expertise to start your own personal training business and effectively work with clients, helping them to meet their health and fitness goals.
There are three modules to complete in the Level 3 Personal Trainer Course.
Module 1: Once you have received your learning material for the level 3 personal trainer course, you will be assigned to a telephone support tutor who will help you plan and agree your submission dates for your home study work. Further telephone appointments will be arranged with you, so we can keep in close contact with you and provide you with specific feedback on your learning needs. Once you have completed the home study work, you will attend two practical course days to learn all the practical skills required for your level 3 personal trainer course assessment. You will then have six weeks to design and implement your programme and practise your teaching skills before returning for an additional two day attendance. Module 1 is broken down into four parts:
- Home study work book
- Anatomy & physiology multiple choice theory exam
- Case study implementation
- Practical assessment
PT Module 1 (A&P Exams): Aug/ Sept/ Oct/ Nov/ Dec
Module 2: This module is delivered by supported distance learning followed by attendance for your theory assessment, you will have four weeks to complete and submit a real-life case study. Module 2 is broken down into two sections:
- Multiple choice theory examination
- Real-life case study – planning an effective nutrition programme
PT Module 2 (Practical): Aug/ Sept/ Oct/ Nov/ Dec
Module 3: Prior to attending your two practical course days, you will be required to complete an additional two modules of work, to give you an insight into using calculations to interpret assessment results. Your practical course attendance days will give you an opportunity to practise your fitness assessment protocols, whilst using the latest fitness assessment equipment found in most fitness facilities today. You will be required to complete a practical assessment on day two.
PT Module 3 (Nutrition Award): Aug/ Sept/ Oct/ Nov/ Dec
Max no: 10 people
Requirements: You must hold a Level 2 Fitness Instructor Qualification (there is various personal training courses package available for those who don’t have the Level 2 Fitness Instructor Qualification). Students must be aged 16 or over.
- CYQ Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training.
